Yes, it's final now. I have reveiled my online baldness once again.

Congratulations, Myrddraal, may the Dungeon prosper under your rule!

    Cheers,
    Duke John the bald

I always wondered what the mask hid...

What'll happen to your pet skeleton? Going into retirement too?

Thats not the right attitude ceasar, these are the modding forums!

If theres a problem with the game, it just makes it into an interesting challenge for us, and besides, you've got to trust CA to do the right thing, all is not lost for RTW, we still await the expansion, and although in a different style, I'm sure that Spartan TW will be the best of its kind... CA have got a pretty good track record when you look back at the TW series.

    phew thats one long sentence...

In the words of Bwian "This is the modding forum... here we make things better!"

... or at the very least we break things in different ways.

Things aren't what they could have been, perhaps, but in only half a year there are already several real quality Rome-based mods around; the first mods in different settings are beginning to emerge, EB's is on the horizon so we'll get a chance to see what they've been up to for the last year or so; most promising of all: we're still discovering what we can do - on these forums alone we've had Duke John showing us how to edit building models, Myrddraal's work on multiple turns and multiplayer campaigns, and much more - and that's just in the last month alone!

(Now that's an even longer sentence, thank goodness for semi-colons.)

And heres a thought, VI unlocked many modding features (adding new factions etc). I'm hoping for something similar with Barb invasion.

It had better. At the moment you need a $3,000+ piece of software (or a pirated version something which I refuse to do) to do more than skin a unit or alter its stats. Moddable...my behind...grumble, grumble.

Best wishes to you in your new post, Myrddraal!

    Edit: I can't spell today.
    Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.

that's not CA's fault, it's vercingetorix's. Poor CA never made that cas im/exporter for 3DSmax, evil vercingetorix did. If it wasn't for him we would have no need for a $3500 product. [/sarcasm]
