It wasnt MY general, but this Brutii certainly impressed me:

Wow, kekvitirae, I'm impressed with how well your Germanic game is going! I never got the motor chugging - all the financial problems right off. I had to give it up. The Britons was waxing me.
Good show!
(and no, I have no impressive generals...:()

Until you take Rome, or an equally-pleasing province, it's hell on earth.

The V&V list. I dont count command as one's only stat that makes him the bestOriginally Posted by SpencerH
One of my better generals was Quintus Scipio aka Scarface, Victor and something else I forget. Full command and influence and a few in management. Many great ancillaries, including one that put his hp up, so he ended up with 12 hp, cruelly scarred +8, general +1 above normal 1, ancillary +2. He also had a slew of great traits and other good ancillaries. Ironically he was of the Scipii while I was playing the SPQR and laying waste to their lands....

I had a 10 star Egyptian, 8 Influence, 4 management. But unfortunately I don't have a screenshot.
He had Archimedes, Ariston of Chios and Aristophanes in his retinue as well. A legendary man and the crafter of my Egyptian empire, conqueror of all of Asia.
Okay, here's the best general I had so far in my postpatch games:
Perhaps the stats are not so impressive, but it was fun getting all those extra stars (although he started with 3 or 4 already).
EDIT: A pity that he's one of the many Scarfaces wandering around.
I've noticed a lot of my generals are "scarfaces" now I've got 1.2. It's annoying because it takes away their cooler titles.
And also many generals would have had battle scars so why would people get a nickname about something that everyone who ever went to war had.
This is due to typos in the V&V file. You can download various mods which fix this, and many other V&V problems (read: poor farmer). Primarily, Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper... err... I mean Cherry Vanilla RTW.Originally Posted by Craterus

Use Bug-Fixer by Player One and you won't get all those Scarfaces.
Nice General, and so far the only one posted -which means you are No.1 as of now.
you should all be ashamed
BEHOLD!

I brought them all together for a reunion and they trooped North to take out the Gaulish Faction leader. His two brothers died from old age on the march through the Northlands. His wife died on the return journey. He's the Best General I've yet had in RTW. Post yours. Yeah I had to use a photo editing program to get all the traits/retinue able to be viewed in one screeen.

just because Ghengis Khan accomplished more tangible benefits than Hannibal through victories does not make the latter's victories any less noteworthy

My best was Augustus Gabinnius the Mighty, even though he wasn't of my faction's blood. He conquered Britannia, Germania, Italia, Dacia, Greece, Sicily, North Africa. Sorry for not having a picture, but there's problem and I can't play RTW anymore.

/me revives thread in first post just to piss everyone off
Not the most impressive general ever, but I thought it was pretty cool that he had 10 stars by the time he was 21 (had 9 at 19).
Nice general. He's great for 21. He doesn't look great for 21, he looks about 40
Wow talk about a born leader!
Let us know how he turns out when he gets to be a little older, easily enough to rival Lucius I'm sure.
