Amazing and beautifull skins, any interest in helping making some Napoleonic units in the future?
Top quality guys again proof that talent is on the street.

amazing skins. The only critique I have is that the colors look much too bright ingame, you might wanna desaturnate them a bit.

The bright colours are probably caused by taking a screenshot of selected units. I believe you can edit the lightning setting in some text file since the bright light does make the units unappealing.
The skins are just awesome.
By the way, I trick I use for muskets; attach the gun to the cloak bones and use that as a third arm to place the musket at different positions. It's a nightmare to animate, but you do get nice loading, aiming and "present-arms" animations.

>>>>> You are right. Here two ways: or really to make the texture less bright, or to correct global illumination(for example from not shined side they look much better). The allocated units look simply awfully!) Ardent greetings to CA!))

And one more unit which I have not laid out last time: this cossack shoots from a pistol before hand-to-hand attack. They have wide experience of storm of turkish galleys and unapproachable fortresses...
beautiful screens, keep up the good work
Wow Sad Ronin you and your team really do deserve a hundred gold stars for those skins. Thanks for answering comments. When you said it's only the beginning, I hope to hear some details of that soon! I don't know what you could do better. I've always wanted to find out about this sort of history but recently I haven't had the time. Very professional stuff guys! Btw I assume the cyrillic version of the mod will be released first. And finally I saw in one of your screenshots on your first page link( that there seemed to be some sort of variation of guns in the unit. Was it my imagination?

Besides there is a saying: " it is better 1 time to see, than hundred times to hear "))
The only thing, that I wish to say, we wish to make very picturesque and atmospheric game.
Btw I assume the cyrillic version of the mod will be released first.

Wow, Awesome Mod! Finally, I can play as the Poles!
Speaking of which...
I have quite a few books on Polish History (Such as God's Playground. It has two parts and the first part covers the area of history that we are going over), and if you'd like I could find lotsa stuff about Poland.
Of course, that's if you don't already have someone on it...

Oh, and by the way...
In the time in which this mod takes place, Poland-Lithuania was already one country. It was also the largest country on the European continent. Now, I can see why you split some of it's lands into different factions, but will it be like Rome in Vanilla RTW? I.E. The Sejm giving missions to the three other Polish factions?

Hi friends,
you are doing a really awesome work.
From the screenshots of the campaign map it seems to me that there are areas with cities very close one to another. This could make the campaign an endless succession of sieges. How many regions are in your map? Perhaps it would be better for playing (it is not a historical question) to reduce the number to leave room for open field battles.
But it is only my opinion.
Cheers.
SwordsMaster,
Thanks for the offer.
Bavor, comrades Cegorach and Robert from P&M perfectly cope with the Polish line. But if you have any interesting information - I shall be grateful. Send it to me on e-mail.
And still:
At us Poland-Lithuania the commonwealth i.e. "RzeczPospolita" also is the uniform state. Actually for this reason Mod begins in 1568. ;) The commonwealth is divided into three noble houses - notable families of Lithuania, Ukraine and Poland. And as - a diet(Seim). As in Great Rome.
Monkwarrior, I understand your concern. We shall make everything that there were as much as possible field battles.)
The Sejm giving missions to the three other Polish factions?
It is done.
Polish factions:
Zamojscy, Radziwillowie, Wisniowieccy i Sejm & Krol instead of Senat.
Don't worry about Poland - there are 33+ units for polish factions alone.
If you have MTW VI you can play as Poles using PMTW 1.0 release - check our subforum.
Our next project PMTW2 ( for Rome) will allow playing it ( and other factions of course) in a wholly-european map. OiM TW is more detailed, but it is different as well. That's why we are cooperating closely.
Regards Cegorach
I´m glad you are cooperating, gives me hope your mods will be finished
33+ units for Poland... wow. Just don´t forget about Sweden
Good work with the map btw.
looking really good...
I´m glad you are cooperating, gives me hope your mods will be finished

I will tell you something terrible...
I am preparing the unit roster for Sweden (and Poland for example)
The cooperation is essential, I believe - our mods are very close.
I trust you will do a great work
On the swedish cities on your campaign map:
Kalmar is placed too far south, should be as far north as the midpoint of the island Öland.
Falun should be due west of Evle if evle=gävle.
Karlstad was founded in 1584, at that time only 45 families lived there.
I thought Blekinge, Halland and Bohuslän were danish, not swedish (here is a map of sweden's landskap if you wonder where those are.).
And I agree with the rest of the people here, your mod looks awesome.

Love your guys work and really looking forward to it. I have been helping Cegorach with researching some stuff on Montenegro military and military history over at the Lordz forum, having some trouble, but I've made a little progress. Not much is mentioned on the terms of actual army composition. Mostly just Montenegrin auxiliaries supported by Serbian and Venetian Regulars(they were essentially a protectorate of Venice)... and then later as semi-auxiliaries used by Turkish.

Last units from a line of Zaporozhye:
(Though there will be still an artillery... waggons and something else...)
City cossacks. The prosperous settled part of cossacks carrying garrison service across all Ukraine. Can shoot from fences, but less racks and effective than Zaporozhye cossacks...
Plastuns. Small group of saboteurs... caftans colors khaki...)) Specialize on ambushes, shooting of enemy generals and artillery crews...
Sich Old Men. One presence of these experienced cossacks on a battlefield doubles forces of the Zaporozhye cossacks. Under direction of grey-moustache old men even young cossacks turn to brave soldiers...
Inspired in Taras Bulba, are you?

You know that large parts of modern day Romania were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, right? Including Erdely. Why is there now Hungarian faction, and who owns their cities?

What do you mean ?
If you do not realise the mod starts in 1569 when the territory of Hungary, Moldavia, Transylvania and Wallachia ( so in fact modern Romania, Hungary and Slovakia) was conquered by the Ottomans or existed as a number of vassal, semi-independent states under influence of Poland or the Ottomans.
Only a small territory was still called Royal Hungary and it was in Hapsburg empire.
