    Sounds like a bug in that case.

    Edit: did found this though

    At some places in the game, saving after pushing a button, for example,
    and then reloading may result in the button not being pushed.

    Example from the game:

    At the Museum by the security beams, saving ofter smashing the control
    box for the beams and then reloading, may result in the beams being turned on
    again.

    There are many places in the game where similar thing can happen.

    Another example is the different chambers in the Fu Syndicate building.
    Sometimes doors are closed after being open, resulting in you being
    trapped, unable to make to the next chamber. Or that something that
    was supposed to be moving, has now stopped after reloading.

    Remedy: Save often and have different save files.

    We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?
