Default Help: How to create ships and move siege weapons?

    Hi,
I have just started to play TW. I could not figure out so far how to do two things: create ships and move siege weapons on battlefield. I would be thankful for an advice.

    Hi,

Ships: you need to build a dockyard (i think it is) then you're off. You can't use ports to construct ships, they are only for access to and from the sea. You will probably need at least a keep to be able to get dockyards.

Seige weapons: You can't move them once you click the 'Begin Battle' button. To be honest they are pretty pointless if you are the attacker (unless you are seiging of course!)

I need 2 more recruits, please click my link below, you don't even have to play. Thanks

Ships: build a port and then a dockyard/shipbuilder
Seige Weapons: Immobile, place them carefully before battle, especially those that cannot turn (mangonels, trebuchet, most gunpowder artillery).

Someone may have a mod that allows them to be moved (a la NTW).

Just a tip - after you place your seige weapon (but before the battle begins), alt-click in the direction you want it to face. Then move your mouse around - the places where the pointer is green you have the range to hit - where it turns red you are out-of-range. Just make sure you can hit your target (probably a place in the castle walls), but keep yourself far enough back to avoid any extra casualties from missiles the defenders will throw at you. Use any elevation you can find - it will increase your range. (Helps to have a cheap foot unit you can stretch out in front of your seige weapons in loose formation - they will attract some of the arrows, etc. that otherwise will be aimed at your crews.)
