    Hello,

I have been recently informed By a number of people,
That there is some sort of Dialer program circulating

This dialer program changes Both dialup "56k and so on"
And dial up broad band "adsl exetra" Connection numbers.

So you end up calling A mobile/celular phone in austrailia.

Please Use this time now to confirm You are connecting To the correct dial up number,

ask your ISP if your un shure,

I use kerio personal fire wall which informs me of any number changes,

Aditionaly Many adsl modems will set them selfs up to dial < < ANY > >
This never used to be a problem.
But with What i have mentioned being tue I would advize you to change the number to Your ISP's Specific number,

    Mine happens to be 0
I would contact your ISP to find out what your is,

A freind of mine recently spent 18 hours connected to one of these Accounts.

And i have had reports of others doing The same,
I will be Installing fire walls for the affected people who Told me of this

But I beleve its my duty to warn As many people as possible,

    Thank you for your time

Actualy the frind that had this happen to him was using a BT 1mb connection.

Contact bt and Ask them What number you should be connecting to,
(you may be able to find out those details from bt's web site online)
They will also be able to tell you If you have been accidentaly dialaing a difrent number,

You really need to set up your connection properly b4 installing a fire wall,

becosu if your settings have already been change the fierwall cant inform you that it has,
But if you set it up properly and then some 1 or something tryes to change your settings The fire wall can tell you,

Or good as it may be.

Anyway, back to the topic, dialers have been around for years, and it's rare that they call random expensive numbers, they usually call premium numbers so that way they can make money.

its not really a dialer, Becous
A dialer is a exe program that dials some where els when its started,
This things more of a virus,
It just changes what number you connect to without any warning or error messages,
You just sit there thinking alls well till the bill arives.
