Default Bribery and other assorted silly questions

Hi all, it's me again, asking answers to questions that I by right should know the answers to but don't.

Firstly. Let me describe a situation I have... I'm playing Scythia, and I just destroyed Thrace, so all their armies immediately begin turning rebel. I have a rebel army with 2 ex-Thracian factioners and 4 other units just a few tiles away from Byzantium (they had been trying to race me to the city to relieve it, but they didn't make it). I can bribe purely-rebel armies with factioners (i.e. those that had not belonged to previous factions) but this one, I can't bribe, despite the fact that I have a diplomat with more influence than the commander, and about 30k in my treasury... why? I WANT those two family members. In the first turn after the diplomat was built, I had attempted to bribe them, but they refused, and I thought it was because my wallet was too small, but after I enlarged my funds, every time I try bribing them the 'bribe' option is no longer available. Why? Are Scythians naturally crappy bribers? I remember as Macedon, no army or diplomat, and almost no city, could stand against my mighty bribing diplomats, no matter their size or influence... but now, I can't even bribe a measly rebel army...

Also, a REALLY dumb and unrelated question. How do you take multiple screenshots of the same battle, and where are the pictures stored? I'm planning to come up with a pictorial chronicle of my upcoming Spanish campaign...

Yup, to those who answer, thanks!

about the bribing i dunno, as for the screenshots, ive done exactly what you are planning to do but ended up having to take a screeny, pause, save screeny, continue game and so on. i didnt find it too tedious but if some1 does know how to take multiple screenies plz respond :)

I believe all screenshots are saved somewhere in the folder called "tgas" in the R:TW folder. Just press print screen when you want a shot and then get the pictures from that folder.

Another point, if one of the guys was either leader or heir of the faction, he is impregnable to bribe, even if he is just a rebel now.

Ah. It seems I have some mild fighting to do then. It so happens there is an heir in there. Well, it'll do my new army of Pontus some good to stretch their legs before they cross to Asia. Thanks!

it also happend to me several times, when i tried to bribe a general. if he refuses then the bribe button becomes unavailable. very odd....
oh, and it doesn't matter how much money i have, the button is simply grayed out. and this happend to a lot of generals, not only to hairs...at least, i think it happend

You can't be able to bribe him anymore. Once you try to bribe a family member or captain once and he refuses, you can't try again. This is probably to prevent people from innundating an army with bribes until it accepts, and also to ensure they choose their targets carefully.

Therefore, if you failed a bribery attempt for whatever reason, even if it's because you didn't have enough money, the person you attempted to bribe becomes immune to bribery from your faction. I dunno what it does to bribes from other factions, though.

    ??

I often try to bribe family members.

If the bribe failures, i can close the diplomat panel and the same turn use the same diplomat to ask the same general if he wants to join my faction.

I've bribed many faction leader/heirs that have turned rebel. In my experience once they turn rebel they still have the trait "Faction Leader" or "Faction Heir", but since they aren't really anymore they can be bribed just as a normal general. So I think your problem is caused by something else, but I don't know what...

interesting... hmm, well, that rebel army is going to get it soon.

Another question... How many turns does the Thessalonica plague last? The Thessalonica component of my army of Pontus has been hit by it, and I need to figure out how long it'll delay me before I retrain them...
