I wonder if you already thought of this Eb but warband troops as you know were not the same. well to do that why don't you use maybe 50-60 officers to be differnt from the normal like the officers have swords instead of spears.

Good thought, but:

A) That would mean the only formation the warband could use would be a long, single-file line of barbarians waiting their turn to walk up towards the phalanx one by one to get piked.

B) There is a limit on the number of uniquely-skinned units that can be included, and I'm sure you don't want them to waste 50 or so on an entry-level barbarian warband, right?

According to the file's notation, which may or may not be correct, you can only have three officers per unit anyway.
