That was fast for a thread to degenrate... And from my time as a .com moderator I know what is fast.

Anyway the craziest thing I have ever done for RTW was to mod the game for days on end, spending perhaps 150 hours to make it fit my vision, then try it out only to see it crash. Not knowing about "show_err" or where the problem was I reinstalled did it again, this time using less time and checking the game again and again, until the last parts when I got impatient, and bam yet another crash. Reinstall... Three times my friends... THREE BLOODY TIMES! But that was not the crazy part, the crazy part is that any sane person would have left it after the second crash and give up, but nooo I had to continue... and continue... and continue. And damn me if I'm not still at it (but now I have show_err enabled).

Well might as well mention my "crazy" thing... although it pales in comparison to the others. But uh, ya... I played for 26 hours straight... without getting up at all I believe. I'm sure others have also. Maybe more. Hm?

But oh well. As soon as I figure out how to get a) my scanner to work and b) my maps and sketches uploaded I shall put them on this thread just to show you I AM insane XD

And, ah well, I'm starting to save up for the original RTW. Yup. Will get it together with the expansion.

20 maps isn't much, really... I have a talent for drawing maps. Of those 20, only about 10 are world campaign maps, the others are of regions, e.g. Greece, Gaul, Spain... And I've got mobilisation tables too, detailing what to build in which turn to raise new armies :-D My room now looks more like an RTW war room than a place to live in.

Play nicely, not too many people are crazy about being called crazy... I may be an exception as indicated in my quote... but for the rest of the patrons it is on the path of the flame war.

Hear, hear! I recognize that feeling Kraxis, I´m smitten too, he he!

Sometimes I´ve been playing for more than 36hrs straight since I ´ve a insomnia problem and just can´t sleep for several days on end. At one point, when researching for the FotN-mod, I actually went and bought books, tons of them. I must have spent well over a 1000$ on them, for no purpose since it seems that FotN will never be released due to the fact that everyone have gone off to others things. It´s a pity since I´d have love to produce FotN on the RTW-engine.
