    Default male children

oh crap here it goes again im doing a early/ga/aragon campaign and ive done good so far gotton the crusade goal gotton alot of conquest yet my king is 50 with only female children he has a brother but hes 49 and unmarried so it looks like soon this campaign will end in defeat. anyway my question is not how to get more male heirs i know bout the chear code and all but my question is do some factions get more kids then others when i play as egypt my rulers always have like 15 kids(no exaggeration) but when i play as the danes my rulers get 2 kids or is this just a coincidence

Some kings get very few or no male children. Also,it partly depends on luck whether that king gets a heir. I have also noticed that muslim factions always get plenty of heirs. I think the creators of the game wanted to make sure that you don't neglect marrying your princes to foreign princesses when playing a christian faction, but in my experience getting heirs is pure luck. For me this is the biggest flaw in the game.BTW,there's quite a big thread I started up about this subject,it's called 'low fertility king'.Look it up if you want to find out more about it.

Uh, I could be wrong about this but I don't recall ever getting a crown on a general who married a princess . . . but a marriage is useful to pump up the general's loyalty.

I think it occurs when the civil war arrises. Sometimes one of the generals who married a princess controls a loyalist faction, and you are allowed to continue on in a new bloodline.

Also, I think all the muslim rulers are considered to have harems, which act as Baby Factories for their lineage. More wives, more heirs.

What about marrying your daughter to your brother? I don't remeber if that's allowed or not, but I think it might be. Sure, it's imbreeding, but the family must percivear! Otherwise send out all your emisaries and marry someone NOW. PRONTO. And pray you pop out an heir quick. Then save the game before each turn, and if your king dies, try the turn over. It shouldn't happen in a particular year, at least I don't think, so your king may have another year till an heir matures.

Anyway, it might work. Next time chose a ruler or faction with better sex appear.
