    Default Unlimited men on battlefield?

I┤ve been tinkering around some of the txt files and found this line in the "preferences.txt" in the main RTW folder:

    UNLIMITED_MEN_ON_BATTLEFIELD:FALSE

What does this line do? What happens if I set it to true?
    If anyone tried, of course.

    Thanks

If enabled there won't be delayed reinforcements, the AI will take control of them.

I changed this to "TRUE" (after I got tired of every battle having delayed reinforcements), but then when I played my next game, sure enough they were delayed again, and then when I went back to my text editor - it had a message "this file has been changed by another program, do you want to update it?".

I have a pretty decent CPU, and on my old cpu this never happened. What is keeping me from being able to do this? What could be causing this "forced" preference?

The only file I know where the user can change the limits that CA think are good for his PC is the descr_auto_optimise_options.txt but it has no entry for the max numbers of soldiers on the battlefiled. I also get a warning, that the max numbers of soldiers for this PC is reached in custom battles if the total number exceeds a critical value but gladly it can be ignored.

I think the internal name for the reinforcements delayed message is quiet funny:
    Code:
{your_machine_needs_upgrading_ai_to_reinforce_body_roman} Good news! The enemy's reinforcements are either lost or not too keen to reach this battle in time! Perhaps they have been frightened by tales of our courage, perhaps some darker reason delays them...

Yeah. That's frustrating though. I had a slower machine and it let me have reinforcements, and now with this faster one it's forcing "FALSE" every time and rewriting the "TRUE" I put in. Dang!!

I had a serious problem with this today - one I have seen other people note:

I was laying siege to a town with a full stack in it. I had a 2/3rds stack. A single enemy unit approached me from outside the town and attacked me. "Reinforcements delayed" it said. So the full stack from inside the city (the city was visible to me just off the battlefield) never showed up, and I won the battle and the city and the full stack just disappeared.

That is freakin' ridiculous. It wasn't the last turn of the siege either. That's embarassing to CA, that this can occur and that there is no way of changing it. My battles always run smoothly and the cpu is fast enough to handle big ones. Really let down by CA on this one.
