Wow, tough choice! Too many great flicks. All the lasagna westerns were fantastic! But...

I also chose Where Eagles Dare. WWII commando action, Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton, and a story written by Alistair Maclean.

What more can you ask for? Except a pizza, a few beer and a night alone to watch the this flic and then Ice Station Zebra. Serious couch action.

I voted for 'Where Eagles Dare', but to be honest, my favourite is also Kelly's Heroes.

It was a choice between 'a fistful of dollars' or 'Dirty Harry'.

A fistful of Dollars is his best film, but I love The Outlaw Josey Wales. It's so cool it's not even funny.

Kelly's Heroes is a fantastic film, but Donald Sutherland made it that way mostly.

The Outlaw Josey Wales or The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly...any of the other ones are okay, but none match Clint in those two roles right there...

I voted for "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", but only because I don't know the english name for the western "De Nådesløse" (maybe "unforgiven"?). The one where he plays a largely unsuccesfull pigfarmer, formerly gunman doing one last job for the young 'uns.

Gene Hackman: "You just shot an unarmed man mister"
Clint: "He should have armed himself before he decided to decorate his bar with my friend"

A truly great moviemaker on both sides of the camera btw.

Just thinking I'd bring a little known fact into this discussion -

Clint Eastwood is an anagram of Old West Action

Too damn many movies to count. In the end, I went with Unforgiven. It's got a more mature message then most of his films, and he's not quite so invincible. My favorite line was "Killin a man ain't like anything else you'll ever do. You take away all he's ever had and all he's ever going to have". "Yeah, but it's alright to kill this guy, he's got it comin". "Kid, we all got it comin".

Josey Wales (the scene with the Indian chief and the squaw, or the old woman being told she's going to be a comanchero sex slave were just too damn funny) also good.

Pale Rider had the best fight scenes I thought (Nothing like a good piece of hickory).

I also thought High Plains Drifter was a hoot. When he throws all that dynamite into the canyon, then rides out of town right when the outlaws ride in was priceless.

Don Vito Corleone: The Godfather, Part 1.
