Castle Research

We need to make our mind up about are we going to have a city in each province or a castle. We will then need to decide how to design these so they fit into the mod.

This thread will help to do research on the subject, the cities and the Castles

For example:

The city of Caen is located in Western Normandy, It is a walled city, but also includes a Castle.

Why dont we have walled cities. Castle building could take place in the similar way as forts are built in RTW.

In the center a smaller town (e.g Inverness) there could be a keep, in larger towns/cities (e.g York) a castle, instead of just the town square that was in RTW.

I think that is a good idea, too. Perhaps keep, or castle could be an extra thing added in if you want it, like how a temple is in the city.

I really like the idea of having castles, with like battlements etc

on the campaign map, we could give some places their own special model, like in the Lotr mod, and we might be able to give some places their own map for battles, too.
