ive modifed it and it does nothing, so i tried backing it up somewhere else with a different name and the music is still the same? doesnt this file do anything? or is there no way I'll get to listen something else in battle? (or the map)

so what file do i have to modify to change the campagian map / battle music?

IIRC you need to delete data/sounds/events.dat for changes to the sound files to take effect.
