What is the secret behind manipulating the colors in the campaign map banners? I can only get brown or black in the game, with very little definition, even if I'm using bright red or orange or yellow colors very prominently in the symbols1.tga.dds and subsequent banners.

It seems like changing the colors on the background of the tga.dds does make some difference, but the way it "translates" into what you see in the campaign map is very strange. Does anyone have any tips or advice or even ideas about why what you are seeing in one is not what you are seeing in the other? The alpha channels have been properly cleared to allow the image to come through also.
