    Default Allies and Axis Total War

    The World War 2 Mod will be a massive overhaul. The mod will include guns, tanks, and aircrafts. Yes, no joke, airplanes will be implimented. (althought they may not be in the first version) Turns will last 1 month, to increase the length of the campaign. It will span from 1933 to 1955. There will be trenches that will act as a wall type, mortar squads, flak88 guns, anti-tank weapon squads (panzerfaust's, bazookas, etc) and much much more. Stay tuned.

    Factions include:
    America
    Great Britain
    Germany
    France
    Italy
    Spain
    Soviet Union
    Poland
    Finland
    Sweden
    Norway
    Yugoslavia
    Greece
    Romania
    Bulgaria
    Hungary
    Turkey
    Ireland
    Denmark
    Rebels

    Why would there be Romans in world war 2? Love tis idea. I think it will be very popular if u can include aircraft. If you can how do you intend to do it? Will the campaign map be to conquer the world or just wipe out the allies/axis? Maybe you could have something representing north africa?

    Sorry, I meant Romanians. Anyway, Allies and Axis is just a name. Though it's point is to conquer "the world" which happens to be the campaign map. I could do some North Africa stuff.

    Australia? We did fight in Europe you know, we werent exclusively in the Pacific...North Africa etc.

    Indeed, we did a LOT more than Spain, who were neutral , or Ireland (I dont believe I've heard of any battles involving Irish, though I could be wrong).

    In contrast, Australians were the main force which held and won the Siege of Tobruk, who beat a Japanese army some 5 times their size (and they were 'reserves' too, not the real army) in Papua.

    Instead of just Australia, why not have ANZAC so that the player controls both Australia and New Zealand, and I do agree, Australia did perhaps more good in North Africa than the Brits did, and New Zealand Likewise in Greece and Crete. Also The Aussies and New Zealanders managed to hold onto New Guinea in fiercely and cost the Japanese a lot of valuable men and resources. My Great-Uncle was an RAF pilot who ran valuable protocol papers, that couldn't be intercepted by the Japanese (thats why they didn't relay them using radio), but he was shot down over Myanmar and then was rescued by an ANZAC platoon.

    Just a though... how are you gonna pull it off.. in the WW 2 the formations of the unites weren't the same as in the Roman era... just imagen german "sturmtruppen" in phalanx

    hi,
    great mod idea! I'll be watching it closely, for aircraft you could do it the same way as fleets, with them able to attack other air forces and bomb towns in the same way as the fleets blockade ports. Is it impossible to do this?

    I think i'd like to help out with this...provide some concept art, ideas, unit cards etc, as well as PR and human management (kreig can vouch for my abilities in these areas).

    Post a reply if you'd like me in...I'd suggest a platoon or company structure for this mod - either groups of 30 or 90-100 men...

    what if you drop Ireland and put in Belgium? alot of Irish fought in the British army, but I think Ireland itself was neutral.

    Why don't you guys have Canada in there? We lost almost 40,000 troops in world war two! We had an Juno beach to ourselves in D-day.

    Well any ways The map could be just Europe and north Africa.

    Spain was nuetral in the war.
