Change city needed for victory condition?

How to change the specific province that you need to conquer to win the (large) game?

Currently it's Rome (Latium.)

Could anyone tell me where to change it?

You can't change the city that is used for the victory condition. What you can change is the name that shows up for it on the map.

In the settlement names files, you should have entries like this:

{Latium}[tab][tab][tab]Lakonia
{Rome}[tab][tab][tab]Sparta

and in the others

Lakonia
Sparta

and in descr regions.txt

Latium
[tab]Sparta
[tab]yada yada yada
[tab]yada yada yada
[tab]yada yada yada
[tab]yada yada yada
[tab]yada yada yada
[tab]yada yada yada

so the region is technically Latium, but to the player it looks like Lakonia

Yep thats the way to do it. Swap the provinces round for latium and the province you want to be the condition.

Wow, thanks! That's easier than I thought. (When I read "swapping province" I thought I'd have to deal with the campaign map editor or something...)
