I just played my first full campaign and the game ended just after I finished taking about half of the map or so.
Does the game automatically end if you take X number of provinces, or can I play to win the whole map?
I want to fight everybody.

Did you play just to outlive a certain faction ie Gauls for the Julii and have 15 provinces?
I played the Julii, I had taken all of Greece, Macedonia, Gaul and just as I took the last province in Spain it ended the game.

Naughtius,
The game will prompt you if you wish to continue for full conquest in patch 1.2 (Imperial Campaign that is).![]()

if you wish to continue to play, after you have taken 50 provinces, you must quiksave ( something as ctrl-s ) when the'' you are emperor message appears.''
Thanks, fellas! I have since upgraded to patch 1.2
It's way, way more challenging. Fun stuff.

Take all the provinces except Rome. Leave them as they are. Once you have conquered all the other provinces, sack Rome. Tada, 100% conquered.
If you surround the Senate, they will bribe your other cities, maybe, you should take Rome before your 50 provinces and then let it rebel, make sure you've got rid of the other Roman factions first though.
That's only if you allow any of their diplomats to stay alive! Use assassins to take care of these... pests! If you surround the Senate, they will bribe your other cities, maybe, you should take Rome before your 50 provinces and then let it rebel, make sure you've got rid of the other Roman factions first though.![]()
Honestly, I really wish the cheat unlocker worked for version 1.2. The reason why I'm still on version 1.1 is because I can't play without the cheat unlocker being there!![]()
Cheat unlocker does work for 1.2 doesn't it? I'm pretty sure it does, yeah it does. DO you mean where you enter the cheats?
Diplomats are difficult to assassinate, they have pretty low success rates because they have good bodyguards. So you need decent assassins trained to a good level and you need lots of them.
Well, according to the thread where I got the cheat unlocker from, they said it only works on the cracked version of RTW. I checked out some game cracking websites, and the latest one I could find was for 1.1 and not 1.2. Further more, he said that it works only for 1.0 and 1.1.Cheat unlocker does work for 1.2 doesn't it? I'm pretty sure it does, yeah it does. DO you mean where you enter the cheats?
I could be mistaken, or that it could be improved later on, but until any of that happens, I'll stick to 1.1... my username isn't cheater for nothing, you know!![]()
Yes, I do know. I saw your post when you introduced yourself ~;-)
