Angry Can use some help on some questions

Okay tried to go through all these threads here and see if I could figure this out for myself. Did read through one thread on General's bodyguards but it didn't explain if this happens over time or with a building as the trigger. I'm playing without the patches so ver 1.0

General's Bodyguards, do these guys regenerate themselves in a city with a cavalry stable or do they just reappear slowly over time?

Repeating ballista's what level of building is required to get these units to spawn?

    Thanks all

    Hi,

General's bodyguard replenish slowly themselves every turn, no matter where they are.

Sorry I'm not sure what do you mean by 'spawn'. If you mean which level of building is required to construct repeating ballista, then iirc it is the lvl 5 (highest level) archery range.

Bazi btw why are you still using ver 1.0? Patch 1.2 is already out

Yer, 1.0 is passe, and not only that, overlapping ranged units take really disgusting friendly fire. Take 1.2 for more realism short of RTR.

    Hi Bazi,

Welcome to the ORG. You do need to patch to v1.2 like the others have said. Go to the ORG frontpage to download.

Thanks to everyone for the friendly welcome! Yes, I do plan on placing the 1.2 patch to my game! I knew it was out there just wanted to experience the original for myself without the patch since I realize that bribing has been nerfed from what other's write. Wanted to see it in action. Your all quite the friendly bunch and pretty knowledgeable as well so thank you for that as well.

One last thing that you read the posts but never quite get a handle on are the Legionary First Cohorts. I've read a number of posts and still come out with a conflicting view. I understand that these units are SENATE awarded, yet others seem to say you can also build them yourself. Well I'll ask the quetion in another new thread but basically after you've defeated the SPQR and haven't been offered the unit is it gone for good?

what's the truth here? With the senate defeated is there another way of building this unit yourself as one of the Roman factions? I can build the Early Legionaries, Regular Legionaries, Praetorians and even the Urban's but no look on the Eagle holders.

    Thanks again.
