    I know I do. It's a great general-purpose, non-offensive expletive.

I am married so I use to express concern without starting an argument, and

I supervise 20 year olds so I use it to express concern without overwhelming their brains.

I do indeed use it a lot, as well as a word me and a cs mate thought up - Muh. Both are so useful, its great.

    Gah! Occasionally.

Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. Occasionally when amongst my close friends. At first they did look at me weird but now they are used to it. None of them have adapted it though. They're too used to swearing normally I guess.

Often at my cats--when they drag race around the pad, scratch the couch, or make big messes of their food or catbox areas. They always give me that ears-up, head slightly cocked, "what are you on about" look, so I guess they think I'm weird too. Gah, kitties, GAH!!

After a bit of exposure to made up words on the internet e.g. shazbot, GAH, they get intigrated into my vocabulary. Take a wild guess at what i voted.

Oddly enough, my friends and I used to use it years before I heard it here. We'd use it when we'd taste something really bad or when we injured ourselves-- it meant something like, "This is awful" or "I'm severely injured here". Now, however, I'm not exactly sure what it means.

I've had phases of using all sorts of slang, they're pretty hard to get out of your system, aren't they?

It will come to you. I know that I have had these urges to say gah occasionally. I'm still resisting though to say it out loud, but I've already used it in MSN.. I don't know how long I will resist the temptation to use it in speech.

Yes, I do...I do it whenever I get the chance. But mostly when my mates mess with me and I need to get out my anger, I yell "GAH!!" and storm off

The sound it makes and the feel when it leaves the mouth make it a great way of expressing discomfort. It is a 'doh' thing.
