It all depends on how well you play and how focused you are on a strong economy. Now...if you are just talking about a maximum limit of money..then I do not know if there is a limit. I have cheated a few times and started with 1,000,000,000 before...not sure if it can go higher than that though...not like there is any need anyways. =P Now ...the most legitmatly for me personaly would be around two million getting about 100,000 per turn.

Most you can have: 1.4 billion.
Most i've ever made: 7.5 million. Unfortunately, that money is starting to drain away, and my greek game with that money is now down to 6.5 million, in the year 60BC. By time the game ends, i should be in the red.

Maybe he is just a slow player? Or he's gone for Total World Domination? Or there was a crisis at the start and he was reduced to one province and he's reborn the Greeks like a phoenix out of the ashes.

or he plays RTR, do you know how hard it is to take a province and keep it, without cheating. in vanilla you conquered the place put a peasant in it and your army would already be sieging the next city. in RTR i mounted a full scale invasion in carthage and spain. it took ten armies 25-30 years (not turns) to capture all the cities.

All of the above. I had a rocky start, where i was down to Sparta, Pergamum and Syracuse, all of them being attacked every turn by Macedonian and Brutii armies. I eventually thought, what the heck, this campaign's going down the toilet and i'm 2000 in the red, i'll just throw all my remaining armies at the nearest cities. So i did that, and managed to capture Corinth, Messana and Nicomedia. Before long i had recaptured the Balkans, was conducting a war of attrition against Carthage on Sicily and had captured a bit of Asia Minor. Before long, my empire slowly grew and grew. Now, look at my empire.

Man, those armenians were strong! And the britons, and the dacians, and the carthaginians!
Probably the weirdest campaign game the world have ever seen.

But I think you have saved/reloaded to much, or something like that, `cause the rebels got a big chunk of Africa. That part should have belonged to Carthage!

    But what happened with Egypt??

Actually, Africa is falling into Rebel hands because the Carthaginian empire is falling apart. Various issues such as me blocking their trade routes, no more trade with Egypt and a military build-up by the Brutii around Carthage are taking their toll on the Carthaginians. And as for the Dacians being strong i let them keep their small empire in between me and the romans to act as buffer zone. And the Armenians are currently fighting a war of attrition around Antioch and Sidon between them and the remnants of Egypt. A few more years, and the Egyptians will have been wiped out. And if you look in Northern France, you can see where my invasion fleet had their ancient D-day, having sailed around Denmark and landing in Belgium and the exact same place as the D-day landings.

It shames me to see rebels owning the Delta. At least, let someone have it, who will use it properly.

I guess Britons are going out soon. But after that, you'll be taking on full stacks of Julii legionaries. Good Luck!

I'm currently making an elite army in Sparta to conquer Africa. And my elite armies are superb. 1 general, 3 greek cavalry, 4 spartan hoplites, 6 armoured hoplites, 2 archers and 2 heavy onagers. Just one army like that helped me conquer all of the steppes. I'm sure they'll make dog food out of the African rebels.

Not very good. Within the last 40 years, 1 million denarii has gone down the drain. My losses just keep on increasing. Apparently, my army costs are the main cause. Really not good at all.

Good to see Dacia have stuck around. They usually get squashed by the Thracians, Germans, Scythians and Brutii, and even Macedon. Here's to their falxmen!

Dacia are always around in my late-games. I thought it was because no-one bothered to take them out. I've never thought of them as much of a threat.

Scipii were eliminated in about 200bc. I kicked them off Sicily in about 240bc, so they just sat around in mainland Italy until they gave up, withered and died.

Gave up against whom? It looks like the Brutii own their land. Surely not Roman vs. Roman by 200bc ?? Or did they run out of family members?
