Is MARDUK extreme enough for you?

Fuck Me Jesus was. From there on out, though, they kind of became one of those washed-out semi-BM bands. However, any band who named an album Panzer Division Marduk automatically rules.

Well, they are not as brutal as some, but I do not like real hardcore death metal like Akercoke - far too much for me.

Really? Akercocke are my favourite English metal act. They slaughter my proverbial goat.

I would contest that whole list except for Cryptopsy and Opeth as not being metal. Leave the hall.

Recently heard kick-ass music:
Voivod - Voivod (the last album, Newsted on bass, very oldschool)
Ministry - Houses of the mole (Ministry at their best)
Cathedral - don't remember the name.... (doom metal's finest)
Kreator - Enemy of God (kick assssss.....)

I would stick with the old Voivod, personally. Same goes for Kreator. Ministry and Cathedral are sure bets right now.
