In less than an hour, kids all over the US will begin taking the test. Its an extensive test on in-depth knowledge of the US, and includes a multiple choice section and three essays, all in 3 hours.
Sounds like fun!
Not
Good luck to all those taking it!

Yeah, good luck to everyone taking the US AP history test. I will be taking it about this time next year if all goes well. BTW could somebody explain the grading system? I have heard that 2's are bad, 3's and 4's good, but I don't get how they come up with the numbers.

Its a 1-5 scale. 2 and below is failing the test. 3,4, and 5 are passing, which means you get college credit for the course.
Some colleges, however, will only take 4's and 5's for credit.

bah don't worry, I took the World History one this year. It was a joke. I mean can anyone not fail it? To easy if you ask me, and way to general.

i would probably fail it, ask me some questions you had.
ah how do i put this. there is no reason to take ap classes.
most universities don't accept them.
they are only worth 3 credits each. you (on average) need 130 to get a BS.
so they will do almost nothing to make you graduate faster or save you money. (in most school if you take 12 - 19 credits tuition is the same)
the time you spent doing the extra work, could be spend on other things.
just my 2c.
If i could do it over, i would not take these classes
If you do have the exam, good luck.

I took the World History one too, and US History is another realm, as far as difficulty. It is much, much more specific than the World History one (I got a cool DBQ on Islamic Nationalism, though for world history). The DBQ this year was "how did the revolutionary war have an effect on American Society, be sure to cite examples from 1785-1804?" you could right a series of books on that question and I had to stop myself at five pages and apologize for being too general.

If all goes well w/ the tests I took this year - I feel the tests went well

- I will be starting college as a second semester sophomore.
