Ok(a few of these are on VHS but i may as well throw them in)

    Braveheart

    Gladiator

    Saving Private Ryan

    Enemy at the gates

    Stalingrad

    King Arthur

    Sparticus

    The 13th Warrior

    Full Metal Jacket

Alexander the Great(the one with richard Burton in and its pretty awful)

    Dogs of War

    Glory

    Black Hawk Down

    Master and Commander

    Last Samurai

Aguirre: the Wrath of God(does that count?)

    Platoon

    Hamburger Hill

We were soldiers( which i really enjoyed)

The Patriot (good for a laugh)

Revolution (perhaps the worst film i have ever seen in my life)

Rob Roy(it shouldn't count because it really is shite)

El Cid( I know not very accurate but Heston's "My king bows to no man" line always gets to me)

The Alamo( The new one, not bad but certainly not great, enjoyed "I'm a bit of a screamer line" by Crockett( Billy Bob thornton) before he is killed)

    The Vikings

The Bruce( a small release starring oliver reed and Brian Blessed all about King Rob and bannockburn. Really. really bad, picked it up off Ebay for about 50p )

    The Messenger: Joan of Arc

    Henry V

Waterloo( The battle sequences are very good)

    Saving Private Ryan
    Apocalypse Now
    Braveheart
    Enemy at the Gates
    Black Hawk Down
    Master and Commander
    Last Samurai
Stalingrad (never watched it completely though)
Gladiator (I dont think this should count, should it?)
    Black Hawk Down
    Three Kings
Star Wars Trilogy (hey, it has "wars" in the title.. )

Had Thin Red Line but didnt like it and it became a present to one of my friends who didnlt like it either and is now seeking the opportunity to return me the present.

My dad is the war movie buff, and I don't know his collection well enough to list it all. I know, though, that he's looking for The Cruel Sea.

I've been looking for Henry V on DVD. Nothing yet.

And I forgot about Waterloo. I'll look for that too.

Henry V is great its one of those films i thought i wasn't going to enjoy but i really got into it (i was a kid when i first was it) FOR HARRY ENGLAND AND ST GEORGE!!!

Dull Fact for the day = the 2 sticking up of 2 fingers originates form the 100 years war. When the french captured Englishmen they cut of their bow fingers out of fear for the English Longbows, therefor to taunt the French the English would wave their bow fingers at them.
