I have been circeling around on the forum and noticed that none has thought of a mod placed in the ancient Mesopotamia... why?

there are many who make about the vikings and WW2 and LOTR and so on..
I take it this isn't in development, so off to the general forum...
I might be interesting in making a Mesopotamia mod after I've finished the mod I'm currently working on. It'd be hettites, assyrians, mitanni, pharaonic egypt etc. - finally a good scenario for those annoying overpowered R:TW chariots... and the vanilla R:TW egyptians with some minor adjustments would finally be in a place whered they'd fit... It'd definitely be an interesting mod, but I'm not sure there's enough interest, as the warfare back then was more primitive in many ways.

I suggest you start by making a campaign map. There is a tutorial on that in the guides/tutorials section. You can also check the skinning tutorials. I'll see if I can help you with the rest, but I won't be ready with the mod I'm working on until in several months from now.

Great!! theres no rush..

im currently working on another mod for another game so.... but lets stay in touch
Tutankamon, weren’t you doing an Egypt mod?
Sounds like a good idea, and you needn't stop at Mesopotamia. You could add the Mycenaeans, Minoans, Trojans (Time Commanders did the siege of Troy and the battle of Kadesh) - Bronze Age: Total War, anyone?
