desc_sound_music.txt not working??

This is odd. It seems like the game ignores any changes I made in the file desc_sound_music.txt . I added ripped mp3s (Gladiator themes I edited in WIndows Movie Maker) and they just don't work. I have modded music before and it worked fine then. Even if I just leave all the names of files blank, the game still gives out the default music instead of silence.
Has anyone else encountered this or know what might be the cause?

I even went as far as deleting the desc_sound_music.txt file. No effect. The game STILL plays the default music.

There's some file called "events.dat" you need to delete, or something like that.

Yes Events.dat must be deleted. Also, you might wanna post your descr so I can examine it, and give me the exact spelling you named the tracks you are using, capitalization and all. Thanks!
