Boy, nephew, same thing

I don't remember too much of what happened in Horse and His boy, I only remember I thought it was ok but not great.

I do remember it took me several goes to even reach the ending of Last Battle because I disliked that book so much, and the ending was quite possibly the first ending to a book which I considered lousy enough to complain about to anyone and everyone I met for the next week. It wasn't because the ending was sad, but because it seemed very silly. It took me a couple of goes to read all the way through Magician's Nephew too; I just didn't find it appealing or engaging. I was reading the series between the ages of 6 and 9; the ones I liked I read quite a few times.

Hmm, I still have my old copies of the series, and since they are so short I could read the whole lot very quickly. Now, where did I put them ...
