Ummmmmm.......I meant the people on the game actually........
All of my princes are not gay. That I wouldn't have a problem with. I think they are all child molesters, because it says they like young boys instead of young women!!!
and men liking boys isn't gay? lol come on now, your guy is a GAY CHILD MALESTER, thats the worst yet hahaOriginally Posted by Maximus the Meek
men liking boys is not gay, most molestors of young boys are heterosexual.
It is a power thing... just like rape
What happens when you put a spy on someone with secret perversion?
I think the perversion is exposed to the public, resulting in a loss of piety. Plus the prince enters therapy and has to register as a sexual offender...
But if they are in the UK they will be let out on "early release" after a year or two. So the Royal unit will be back in action after no time at all. >.Originally Posted by Maximus the Meek
One of my princes got an abortion though so he wouldn't give birth to the elephant, the church lowered his piety by 9 :(
A disturbing number of people in my games get Imbred or Crack-Brained, its never a 1 star general whos not important its ALWAYS my 9 star general who becomes a useless perverted imbred who its totally nuts.
But I often find that they STILL make excellent generals usually.Originally Posted by _Aetius_

My current Byzantine line is plagued by incestuous vices. This is the first campaign I've had with them where all are under 6 stars. The Incest and Pride lines tend to annoy me the most; they seem to pop up quite frequently. The Loon line isn't so bad if the generals are high command to begin with--the morale bonuses from command usually make up for the loss in troop morale resulting from the vice. Loonies just don't make good governors, which is fine with me. Same with the Avarice line.
I tend to look for no command-high dread/acumen for governors, and just keep them as garrison in their province. I use 4-star and greater gens on my front lines as defenders and conquerors.
I've always thought that a crazy general should be feared by an enemy too. Ya never know what the loon will do ... .

When a general has a negative morale trait, like because he is crack-brained, does this make just his unit get the negative morale, or the whole army he is leading?
Thank you,
Max
I think if the general leads the army (ie he is in the first 16 units you take to the field) then it goves the morale 'bonus' to the entire army. Otherwise it's just for his unit.Originally Posted by Maximus the Meek
Also a querie on an above point, does the Command stars from a general increase a units Morale alongside with it's Valour like Valour normally would or does it only increase it's Attack and Defence?![]()
Every two command stars adds +1 valor (which equates to +1 attack, +1 defense and +2 morale) to each unit under that general's command:
0-1 star: no bonus
2 stars: +1+1+2
3 stars: same
4 stars: +2+2+4
5 stars: same
6 stars: +3+3+6
7 stars: same
etc.
I think an Unhinged Loon vice is -3 morale. But if it's a 6-star general, he still grants a +3+3+3 to all units under his command--still a very nice bonus.
Note that the Skilled - Expert Attacker/Defender virtues add +1 to +3 valor to a general's command rating when attacking or defending, respectfully. You will see a Skilled - Expert Attacker's stars increase when you move him to attack an enemy province; likewise you will see a Skilled - Expert Defender's stars decrease when you attack an enemy province with him (because when he's in one of your provinces, his bonus is in effect).

Actually, this was changed in MTW. The command stars only affect attack/defense, and the new method of calculating the bonus, which brings in the vices & virtures, can result in bonuses to either attack or defense for each +1 command star. The morale bonus from the general now comes exclusively from the vices & virutes. This means you can have a high command star general who lowers his army's morale because he has morale penalties in his vices & virtues.Originally Posted by TogakureOjonin

Beta 8 + Beta 8.1 patch + New Maps + Sound add-on + Castles 2
Now I'm confused! Which one is it and when was it changed - for example, with the VI expansion? etc.
I have the basic version of MTW and have not downloaded any updates. Which would apply in this case? And if I did download the patch, would it apply then???
I bet there is a chart somewhere, eh? If you know where I would appreciate knowing.

If that is true, how did a 9 star Jedi Byzantine General(10 units roughly) with nothing but one group of Byzantine Infantry, a few Trebies(3), and a small army of (1-2)peasants and (1-2)UMs get 1:3 on my 3 star? No Byzantine unit routed and I was using superior numbers and superior Italian Light Infantry, Feudal MAA and Knights. He killed or routed everyone. One unit of the Byzantine's UMs acted exactly like a unit of JHI(I realize they have AP, but this t'was silly). I charged on them with a unit of Feudal Knights to try and rout the UMs through the rest of the Byzantine Army. I charged those bastard after they were pincushioned by Genoese and Xbow cav, but then they hacked the knights apart and sent them running!.
I tried again and engaged the enemy with my 4 main line of Italian Lights and they were hacked apart and ended up routing with the rest of my army that had partially flanked the enemy.
That was just wrong.
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.
