In the mtw guide book, it said that when crusades are succesful, you can now have the crusade units such as hospitaler knight, but when I did succesfully complete my crusade, I couldn't find anywhere to produce those crusader units.

You smoetimes get an unit or two of knights while you crusade, if you complete your crusade and they are still alive you keep them as normal units to use...

Now on beta 3 with playable golden horde!
You can't actually train crusader units as a regular unit unless you mod the game. Otherwise, the only crusader units you get are the ones that show up when you first call a Crusade. Unfortunate, but true.....

Want to generate lots of Crusader types?
For example, as Spanish you can set a Crusade against the nearest Almohad province, like Morocco, then attack Morocco with regular stacks.
When Morocco falls the Crusade disbands; keep the Cusaders you want and disband the rest.
Withdraw from Morocco, let it revolt, then repeat, or, move on to the next Almo province and repeat.

That guide is a lie, a lie I tell you. When I first played I thought the same thing but its not true. You only get Crusader units when you launch a crusade and if you are lucky an Order Knight will appear in it. After a crusade if they still survive, you can keep them as regular units. that is why I launch fake crusades...

You have to build crusades in provinces where they give out valor bonuses for crusaders. So for instance to build knights de Spain or whatever they are called you need to build a crusade in Leon. You then of coursew have to complete the crusade before they join your conventional forces and you can control them.
That guide is one of the best guides I've ever had the pleasure of reading.Originally Posted by Draconian
The only other guides that have ever gone into such detail about the workings of the game are the Sim City/Starfleet Command guides.
Any Spanish crusade can have Knights of Santiago in it, it's just one's from Leon where the Crusader Knights will come with 1 valour already.
PS does anyone know the factors that determine whether you'll get order knights, rather than just order foot soldiers and fanatics? Is it simply the level of zeal, is it random, or is it something else?
