Long time since this came up. OK, here we go...
Mouzafphaerre is the bastardization (with fake French spelling) of Muzaffer, which originally is مضفر, which means "victorious, triumphant". I used to play a very totalwar-like windows shareware, World Empire, in which you were supposed to conquer the modern world for your faction as a general and Muzaffer Postal (the triumphant boots) sounded funny to me at that time, for a generals name. Come the age of internet, I needed an alias for forums etc. and just shortened & bastardized it.
Hayreddin Barbarossa was chosen for the naval/pirate themed games and became more famous than Mouzafphaerre.
Mao Dun, I'm using only at the Emperor RotMK forum.
