Pintless Poll for Starwars Geeks (Like Me!!)
Inspired by the Jedi Thread, I thought i would make a Starwars Pointless poll to celebrate the opening of Reveng of the Sith.
so my question is = Who would in in a fight between the 2 most hated races in starwars the Gungans and the Ewoks. I'll leave it to you guys to discuss the situations the battle would arise in.
Edit: Erm.... i obviously am having withdrawl from something, can a mod pls change the title to Pointless rather than pintless??? thank you!!!

In open terrain the Ewoks would probably be dead meat, considering the technological superiority of the Gungans.
In the woods, where the Gungans would have problems utilizing their heavier equipment, the Ewoks might eventually overwhelm them using their dreaded pointy sticks and pebbles.
Anyway, I sure hope a potential war between the two will be looong and bloody and leave the victor to weak to prevail much longer afterwards

Ewoks don't look like they'd fare too well underwater to me, they look like they'd just get soggy and drown (YES!). They'd find it kind of hard to get those gungan jellyfish towns.
Either way it'd be a very boring war with probably very few casualties since neither side seems capable of developing stabbing weapons (although one has mastered flight and the other has mastered sheild technology - but still depends on giant beasts of burden to convey it).

are we going to have to add another race to the battle? because in the movie previews for episode III, it looks like there's some kind of wookie battle, and trusting to the genius of lucas, i can only surmise that they will be as bumbly as the ewoks and gungans.

I sure hope that the Wookies in Episode III will be considerably more intimidating than Ewoks or Gungans... (and I assume that they should be able to turn both Gungans and Ewoks into bloody pulp)

More intimidating then the ewoks? I don't think I can handle that level of stress.
What is a gungan by the way, I switched off episode 1 & 2 after 10 minutes.

jar jar was a gungan. The Wookies should rock because although they live in trees they have technology (Bowcasters for example!) and are bloody massive!!

Did you ever play Star Wars: Battlegrounds? I think the wookies had the 2nd best air force or something like that, despite the fact it just seemed to be ewoks on gliders.

I only wanted Ewoks to win so i voted for them. there smarter but cant swim so Gunguns win i guess. There still annoying though. Why did Jar jar binks get on the senate !?

Jar jar was Naboos representative on the Senate in Amidala's Absence.
Battlegrounds was a good game but it was Just AOEII Age of Kings with a new skin. Still i had a lot of fun with it.
right now Im of to find a topic where i can make a truly inspirational post to hit my 1,000 post mark!!

Gunguns are physically much better than humans in fighting terms according to Canon iirc...while Ewoks...pukes out the window

I'm fairly sure the Gungans would trash the Ewoks unless they were in a wood-as, apparently, the Ewoks can beat even Imperial Stormtroopers in dense forest.

Well the ewoks managed to annihilate an entire elite stormtrooper battalion, even with their walkers and guns, whilst armed only with polystyrene blocks and tree trunks. So my money is on them. The elite assasins disguised as cute and fluffy puppets.

I propose, that to make it a fair fight, they battle it out on neutral ground. Alderan would be a nice choice.

Personally I suspect that there was a scene that never made it.
The Emperor:
"Send in a elite stormtrooper battalion to capture those rebels."
Commander nr 1:
"Emperor we only got reserve battalion nr 27 free."
Commander nr 1 gets fried by the Emperor's force lightning.
The Emperor to Commander nr 2:
"Get me that elite stormtrooper battalion!"
Commander nr 2:
"Yes, Emperor!"
Commander nr 2 (that still wasn't able to get anything more than reserve battalion nr 27 free):
"Hmm, getting fried or send down reserve battalion nr 27. What to choose? That mission should be so easy that even reserve battalion nr 27 can't fail."
That makes so much more sence.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?
