Pls can somebody tell me howe to instal RTR?

I have Rtw and Rtr 5.2 downloaded. What must I do to install the mod 5.2?
I think that is automatic, but when I unzipp, and later I go to play the provincial campaign the game come back to desktop image. Why so?
Maybe the mod is only for the english version? I have the italian edition of Rtw.
Tell me what must I do, to install correcty the mod.grazie.thanks.

The mod should work fine with the Italian version of the game, I think (although you'll have a mishmash of Italian and English in the game). Have you ever installed another RTW mod before installing RTR?

Also, what exactly happens when you try to start the campaign? Does the game close, returning you to the desktop, or are you returned to an earlier menu?

By the way, I would highly recommend getting 5.3, 5.4, and 5.4.1. There are many bugs in 5.2 that were fixed in those later versions, although none that should stop you from starting the campaign in the first place.

I liked ti install the 5.4 full mod but I cannot because I didn't find a free download. The only download site i found is the boomtown.net site and to download this mod there I must be a citymember and to pay to be citymember cause they do not permit to download at free basis members.

Where is my error?
What I did.
1)I bought Rtw
2)I charged the patch 1.1 howe u wrote in RTR site. The patch is 56.28megab. (it's starnge that the name of the patch is 1.2 but i arrived there form u site where .
3)I download and later unzipp the mod 5.2 (68 mb)
4)I download and unzipp the patch 5.3 11,45mb)
5)I download and unzipp the patch 5.4 (446 kb)
6)also I download and unzipp the patch 5.4.1
7)I delete the files map.RWM and map_heights.HGT
I think all your patchs are automaticly installed at RTW, trasforming it in RTR 5.4 mod.
So now I Think I can play at RTR.
So I launch the game and I go to menu and select the single payer and then the provincial campaigne, but selectin the provincial camp. I go back to desktop.
Why so?
Maybe Italian edition need some trasfomations, or maybe the Rtw patch 1.1 is not the one that I downloaded by your site? Because u send me to download a patch that is the 1.2 also if u say that is the 1.1 patch.
Pls tell me where is my error. I think so because the patch 1.1 that I found in the site of RTW is a smaller patch of about 10 mb and not the one of 56mb that the RTR site tell me to downloas as 1.1 patch.Maybe this is the error Ciao.

Create a shortcut to RomeTW.exe, then right-click on it and select Properties. In the Target field, go to the very end, after the quotation mark, and add a space followed by -show_err. The line should now read something like:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -show_err

Does that give you an error?
