    Default RTW under the influence

I am pretty sure some of you "prefer" to play RTW under a different than normal state of mind lets just say

Any kind of funny or strange stories happen while inebriated?

One night after coming home from the bar, I had my elephants on the enemy flank ready to charge down their entire line. The elephants tore up the whole line on double time. It was only ten minutes later (I think I passed out once or twice in between) that I realized I ran down my own men and the AI was on the far side of the map UNTOUCHED.

    Now, that is clever.

While playing as Carthage i once did something similar.I came in from the club absolutely twisted and decided now was as good a time as any to take Capua from the Scipii. The battle was in a mountain pass not far from their city.....one of those very sloped battle grids that you can have problems angling the camera to view the enemy if they are above you.Anyway i cannot see the enemy anywhere in my drunken state when i notice an army marching at me from my right flank.I immediately turn my Poeni infantry to face my foes and click behind the enemy lines.I charge my elephants out wide on their right and send them crashing down the enemy line just as my skirmishers are finished with them and my infantry are engaging the by now demoralised enemy. To top it all off i chase their General off the map and mop up the routing troops with my long shield cavalry.
There was one problem with this victory. It was an allied Greek army that i attacked and routed and the Scipii were now charging down the mountain at my tired and disorganised troops.
This was while playing RTR and the Greeks were not impressed.....no no.

No such stories, only loading a saved campaign one morning after I had been out on the tiles and seeing a completely different game than when I last left it.
I was struggling in an Armenian campaign and must have come home from the pub and had a bash before I went to bed, totally forgetting everything that happened by the time I awaoke the next day.
I had somehow managed to totally finish off the Seleucids and Pontus and was battering the Egyptians in the South and the Brutii to the West. There were over 30 years of the campaign played in this state. My Armenian Empire stretched from Medea to Greece and I was easily the most powerful faction in the game!
Maybe I shuld do other things after I've had a beer or three - like driving....

@ Parmenion, that sounds insane. I'm gonna have to try that some time when I have trouble in a campaign.

I've personally been very sleep deprived while playing and saw myself seeing multiple. However, it turns out that it was inherent with 1.2 on a laptop. I was amazed to win the most basic battles in that situation though as everything was blurred and sky textures were ghosted onto the ground.

I don't really have any stories, but I did save over one of my most advanced campaigns while under the influence of "booze." Except this was the kind of "booze" that you smoke and that makes you hungry.

I have, however, thought up some pretty interesting (and even effective) formations while on "booze."
