A questions. What does a modeller do? And is a skinner someone using the skeleton of a unit and putting on a new outer shell or look?? Thanks

I believe a mod is someone who come up wih ideas or got it from other, and to realize it they will go and do something modification to the game file or datas. for me a modder is someone who have background knowledge of editing an existed file to make it more better or worse :)

A modeller is someone who litterally makes the models. Makes the geometry of the units etc.

A skinner is someone who makes the textures for that model. Like the image which is pasted onto the model. Details like armour and simply skin colour and shadows are done by the skin.
