    Default Question about bribing

    hi to all,

First of all excuse me if the topic is being covered already or if i post this in the wrong place.

My question goes as this. If you bribe a city from a function that you are not at war with dose your action gets translated from the AI as an act of war.

If the it dose not then how many towns you have to bride to get you that result.

Yesterday as i was playing RTR 5.4.1 (Greek H/H) i braided the city of Rhodes out of the Ptolamake Emp. To my surprise war didn't brake loose. So now i am thinking to bribe crete as well.

yes bribing a city does not make you go to war with the other faction. Not all the city you can bride though, it have to depend on who's the governor and how loyal they are to their faction as well :)

In RTR the Ptolemies seems to be prune on garrison their islands wit 2-4 peasants. I´ve seldom found any governors or better units so they are easily bribed. Rhodes and especially Crete can really bring thoose dinariies in that´s why I take them early when I´m in the region.

Bribing does bring about transgression. So if you get a transgression message, the Ptolemies are mad and are preparing for war against you for your actions
