This obviously not a poll, just post your 3 most preferable members.
    Mine in no order:

And please no ass-kissing. That is against the rules.

Gawain - He likes Clapton. 'Nuff said.
Toga - Pretty fantastic advice given to me on the subject of my guitar auditions.

But hey, i havn't been here long.

This should be ok, but play nice-if it gets divisive, I'm closing it.

As an utterly unbiased mod, I obviously have no favourites.

But hey, i havn't been here long.

Tough question - everyone's pretty nice and helpful as long as you reciprocate.

Gawain - We had great times on the MTW multiplayer battlefield. I learned alot from him there. He convinced me to join the .org after I had some initial problems gittin on the member list. Hes helped me hammer out some of my ideology regarding politics. Overall hes a nice guy, very smart, and those days in MTW will always be remembered as the best time ive ever had with a video game.

Ichi - Pretty much for the same reasons as Gawain minus the political stuff. Awesome times in MTW. It was great to see his new armies and pit mine against them, or smash some little peons together. Always honorable and friendly on and off the field. We've had some "discussions" in the backroom, but nothing too ugly. Although I dont agree with him I respect where he's coming from and its always fun to read his posts, only thing better is fighting with him.

Capo - A fellow German military enthusiast. Hes a great guy and, although his politics make some people angry, he seldom gets angry or obnoxious about them. !! Achtung Panzer !!.

There are so many people here I like, it would take a whole day to count them all… They know it well, for instance I'm in great terms with the entire staff and could list all of them, then there are the members of CoH, but to name only three… Hmmm, let's see…

Pindar-sama, because he is intelligent, wise and eloquent.

Beirut-kun, because he is hilarious, witty and a lumberjack.

Ichi-sensei, because there’s nothing worse than having an ichi you can never scratchy!

But, as I said, there are many other members of the forum and the staff I consider to be my friends and like them just as much as the named ones. Even if omitting them, they’ll know I love them sooooo…

I have the same dilemma with this question as I would with the "name your favorite three bands of all time" one--just too many good options to limit it to three--way too many. So, I'll do like Ichi did--except in my long-winded style.

And since Ichi means one in Japanese, I'll mention him first. Ichi is a cool, laid back dude with a good sense of humor, who helps people here when he can, and plays VI very honorably. And he's a firefighter--a most noble profession. And he prolly lives closest to me of those I know here.

TosaInu. He runs this board immaculately without any real personal benefit other than the satisfaction of knowing he is enabling so many of us to do what we do here. Some of my most enjoyable Shogun games in the old days were played against him--unpredictable, varied, and always fun and friendly.

Drisos. One word--Enthusiasm! Well, ok two more words--Shogun Diehard. Well ok, a few more--helpful, courteous, and kind. He has inherited the Sword Dojo, and does a fine job keeping it alive.

Sasaki Kojiro/Mimesaka Akechi. He first greeted me here when I came to the Org. He helped me learn Shogun MP. We fought like cat and dog in the Masterless and 47Ronin and still managed to remain friends. He's the best damn 1v1 Shogun dude I've ever played.

Here's a sweet couple that just bust my buttons: Devastatin' Dave and Gawaine. My very first rant was directed at DaveinKorea way back when, and I was resolved to dislike him with a gusto for being such a rude dweeb of a conservative twerp. I have since come to understand him somewhat (I think, if that's even possible), and now that I do, I think he's hilarious. Gawaine--similar. His political views were so different from mine, and sometimes he stated them so meanly that I initially took a strong dislike to him. But I've come to know him better, played some VI with him, and now I find him to be quite a cool person--one who's been through some shyte and is still strong. Maybe a bit too strong sometimes, but hey ... aren't many of us? These two add a lot of spice to our community.

Redleg. Sharp and passionate, with a good sense of humor--a bit twisted like mine. Knows his stuff and explains it well. Like many here, served in the US armed forces, helping to ensure the lifestyle which I am so lucky to have here in the USA. A distinct flavor in the Backroom.

Puzz3D. The master of TW stats and game mechanics, always willing to answer questions thoroughly. Truly committed to the betterment of the game and the community. Had some very nice games with him and Tosa on Shogun back in the day. And he likes silent films, which are cool.

BKS. It's rare that you find such a consistently polite, level-headed, intelligent, and well-spoken teenager with such good taste in music. He should consider not wearing dresses though ... WAY too ugly for that . Poor TK ... .

Hosakawa Tito. My favorite Mod (though Ser is coming up quick), and the one who gave me my warning point. Direct, fair, honest, and understanding, and he has a good sense of humor too. I miss his presence.

Ser Clegane. Sharp as a tack in thought, smooth as a babe's behind in "speech," and always considerate in how he expresses himself. I don't think a better choice for Backroom Moderator could have been made.

Kas. The first organization I joined in the community was Kas' Masterless. Kas clued me in on the workings of the community, was my team m8 in the only 2v2 tourney in which I've ever participated, and has become a True friend, totally apart from all this TW stuff. If I manage to visit Europe, I will make a beeline to the Netherlands to meet him and his lovely wife Michele. I won't play golf with him though; it's just not my thing.

Gregoshi. very helpful and friendly to me in my early days here, and tactful about offering suggestions as to how to better get along with peeps on this board. He's gone out of his way to assist me with problems I've had, and it seemed to be a personal assist, not so much an official one. Such sincerity and commitment is admirable, and much appreciated.

It's very late for me here and I'm sure I've forgotten some important folks, so I'll add them later when I think of them. Thanks to all for bein' so cool. Oh, and if you accuse me of ass-kissing BP, I'll kiss your pert lil virtual arse with the point of my virtual steel-toed fu shoe--I mean what I say and say what I mean ... except maybe in stupid, emotional arguments in the Backroom .

To those who have mentioned me: *bows*. I wouldn't have thought I'd make anyone's list, being the grumpy old temperamental fart that I am.

I really wasn't expecting to be on any of the lists, so I never bothered to read this thread, but oh! I'm in the first post (snif!).

I like BP, as much as one Nietzscheanoid pseudo-nationalist can like another.

Beirut is a good guy with a manly job (unless the lumberjack thing is just a big inside joke).
    Ichi is sensible and good-humoured.
Navaros has made me sit up and say "bung?" aloud more than anyone else. He should really post more.

    Nice thread BP!!

TogakureOjonin Who else should I start with? Toga is a person who I respect very much, in fact he is my best online friend. He is of great value to the Sword dojo, and a very wise person. Since the early days of my memberschip he has been nothing then nice to me and others, and he is defenitely a shogun diehard. Even while he's in a VI clan now, he still plays STW MP and he is very good at it.

Quietus, for the great pics he made for me! this nice guy also made an entire RTW guide.

Of course my dutch m8's here: Dutch_guy, Fragony and Emperor Umeu 1!

AdrianIIWho has also been very helpful to me, he helped me becoming better when I was new to STW. And he learned me some things about forums, because this is my first and only one. Adrian also has great humor.

Ichi For his humor! definitely! he has made me laugh very hard sometimes. especially with his 'could god microwave a burrito so hot that even he couldn't touch it' poll.

KukriKhanBecause he has been very helpful to me and others! A very nice mod.

ShamblesI don't know him that long, but he is very helpful and kind of technical. He set up a fakeserver for STW, which is so nice of him. He's a shogun diehard too, and has set up an STW tourniment.

All other diehard shogun players: Mimesaka Akechi, R'as al Ghul,Elmarkofear and all others who still play!

All tech people in apothecary! they spend their time helping others out of their computer problems. they have been helpful to me, too.

All SJTW modders: llegacy,Ceryxx,Duke John,TomteOfDoom and all other people who help with the mod. I hope you finish it and it will be great!

TosaInu, for the great job he's doing running the .org. Also I respect the entire modding team!

Of course there are lots of other members which I like much, but if I would mention all of them it would take quite long to read this post.

ok I'm back with 3 more!

BP: Although I utterly despise his political views, he makes me laugh and he's alot like me, except weirder, and more psychotic, but less sociopathic...
Hiji: He hasn't been around for a while, at least not in the backroom, but when he was he was one of the great right wing debaters. Salut!
Gawain: My first conservative ally in the tavern, Gawain makes good points and is, overall, a nice guy.

*sniff* *sniff* My heart is breaking. Not even a passing mention in the lists of 10 or more. Alas, shall I never post here again, no more... no more.

Well, that's okay. You all just wait till I have you in my clutches... Muhahahahaha. Just kidding. I'd suspect blatant asskissing if my name HAD showed up, I annoy myself half the time.

Let's see, who are mmmmyyyy favorites?

I think I did a list like this a while back in a similarly themed thread, but it was much longer than just 3 members. Heck, my answers have probably changed since then, but it does say Right Now

Ser Clegnane Seems to be pretty insightful. Once I got over the disappointment of never agreeing with any position he's going to take, I have to respect how well reasoned and articulated his arguments tend to be.

FrogBeastEgg The woman rocks. Her guides are the only reason I can even play the game. Her stories are great. A shame we drive her out of the backroom so often, but I know she peeks in every now and then, cause she votes in polls that id the voters.

Katank The poll didn't say they have to be tavern regulars, and I'm not sure he's ever showed up back here. But his advice in the Main Hall has been invaluable, and he seems infinitely patient in helping newbies. Seems to be an all around nice guy who does a lot without expecting anything in return. If only we could get him out of that 'blitz, blitz, then blitz again' mindset for all his suggested strategies. But that 'Ransom the Sultan' strategy is a thing of pure beauty.

I'm going to stop at 3, because my list would be extensive if I dug in and tried to name everyone who's company I enjoy on the .org . There's nobody on here that I don't appreciate at least some aspect of, and too many that I actually look forward to run into to name.
