Reducing the distance between units?

Hi. Is there a way to change the distance between say 2 units of Phalanx to close to nothing? Because when i form a line of say 10 phalanx pikemen, there is always an annoying and rather stupidly large gap between each group.

This shouldn't really be in the modding section I think...

The only way I know of is to do each unit individually using click and drag

You can edit descr_formations.txt too and set single line unit distance to zero, I think.

Try Darth Vader's formation mod at twcenter.net - units are literally side by side and the AI even remembers to have its phalanx units attack in a line instead of splitting up!
