    Hail all,
I've been hanging around viewing for several weeks, and finally taken the plunge to sign up.
I've been playing R:TW for several months (when things like work don't intrude too much...) and am just about to start the civil war as the Julii. I came to Rome direct from Shogun, skipping M:TW, which I now realise means I missed out a lot.
When not sitting in front of a screen planning the conquest of the known world, I sit in front of a screen planning maintenance and support of a set of IT systems. No prizes for guessing which is more fun.

    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now

    The dream is gone.

    Hello everyone

I'm fan of TW all the way back from times of Shogun, but Medieval is what really sucked me in. I used to mod it quite a lot and org was my biggest source for mods and learning so now I'm back again cuz after finishing Imperial campaign for the third time I think my rome is ready to be modded.

    Hello everyone!
My name is Geoffrey S, I'm 18 years old and I live in Breukelen, Holland. As an avid fan of Medieval TW and with a lot of interest in the ancient civilisations it was unavoidable that I'd end up buying Rome TW as well. After playing the game extensively I ended up looking for new content and found my attention grabbed by the multitude of excellent looking mods made by the community; thus I got drawn into this community.

After the summer break I'll be starting on my sixth year at the Christenlijke Gymnasium Utrecht with the emphasis on the various scientific subjects like physics and maths, along with latin. Outside of school my main interests are many forms of music (current favourite band is Godspeed You Black Emperor), general partying (drum 'n bass), long distance swimming and reading (currently reading Mask of Apollo by Mary Renault). Favourite movies include (but are not limited to) Kagemusha, The Man Who Wasn't There, and The Green Mile. Of course, gaming is also an interest of mine; there's no particular favourite genre, with favourite game being Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, the Monkey Island series, Alpha Centauri and Knights of the Old Republic.

Regardless, having lurked for a while it seems the org is a great place for any TW fan and I'm looking forward to contributing to this lively community!

    Cheers,
    Geoffrey

Cheers all. Yeah, it does seem like there are a lot of Dutch people around these forums, but you can't have too much of a good thing!

Welcome to the .org 'General Torres'. Your intro is ... unusual. I think that is the right word. not that I mind, but please tell us something about yourself.

feel free to pose any questions anywhere. If I know the answer I'll be glad to help you.
