Do you mind explanations if we don't know the stats? Or rough army sizes...

I just defended Thermon with a general, 1 militia hoplite, and 4 peltasts, againt a 20 unit, and a 5 unit Macedonian army roughly 50% of which was cavalry. I killed almost all of them and had 5 Militia hotplites, 2 gen cav, and 20 peltasts total (over the 4 units)

I fully expected to lose and couldn't beleive I won.

For future ones I'll actually pay attention to the stats.

I would have thought that to be a loss. You killed less men than the enemy and you had less men remaining.

You have to edit the faction file first

Go to your folder - RTW>world>maps>campaign>imperial_campaign>desc_strat.txt.

Simply move all the factions under the “nonplayable” and "unlockable" that you want play to under “playable”. After you’ve arranged the text files, do not forget to SAVE. You may now play the new factions when you load RTW.

here's one.

1800 gauls in a castle vs 6000 romans. a mysterious breach in the wall made my 1000 foresters useless for a half fight. result 800 dead gauls with a king and a member. 4000 dead romans and 4 dead generals

Also, bear in mind that the battle for Appolonia involved the killing of 5 Brutii generals.

The Brutii only have 2 generals left.. I think I will eliminate them and then grab all their rebel provinces.
