The problem with providing something so often and well for you guys is that you come to expect it. Putting together these updates is not a small thing to do, much goes into them. We all have real lives, with real jobs or schoolwork, wives or girlfriends, and other responsibilities. Not to mention work on the mod itself, which is at a critical point at the moment.

I know you haven't got your weekly fix, and I will get it to you as soon as I can. In the meantime, however, I'm spending some time with my wife.

Khelvan you make it your self to difficult.
You where not clear about why you could give us the weekly update.
Because of that allot EB fans are confused..
It better to place a sticky in the EB forums that there wont be a update this weekend or week because you have other more important things to do.
I am sure that most EB fans will accept that including me ;-).

I don't understand. I wasn't under the impression I answered to anyone. I always thought that these previews were a gift of sorts to you guys, and that the regular schedule I kept was done when I could do so. Just because I could do so for a good period of time doesn't make it a set in stone schedule.

Like other things we do, these previews are not paid for, and are done as we have the capability and time to do so. I apologize if I have made things difficult for anyone because I haven't dropped my family life and mod work to make the preview for anyone, or to spend the time trying to come up with an explanation for me missing a deadline set for me by the fans.

    How terribly inconsiderate of me.

Edit: Not a response to Jebus ;)

Seriously guys, lay off Khelvan. He isn't under any obligation to us, and he's got a life outside the mod. The new preview will come when it comes, and it will almost certainly be amazing.

Please, relax. You'll get your fix soon. We do have lives outside of EB, and while we do set deadlines, they are not goals we demand of ourselves to meet without failure. Sometimes things get a bit busy. However, I can promise you, internally, the mod has not slowed down. In fact, it's actually been moving fairly well, we're still making plenty of units, working out new systems, and bug hunting, and everything has been pretty positive. However, putting together those updates takes time, and Khelvan is pretty dilligently working on this stuff. However, he needs cooperation from a lot of folks who are also busy; it'd not be so bad if we were all busy at once, but more often, people are busy when he has the free time to put the update together. It will be up soon though, and the additional stress doesn't help. We get tense about getting the updates ready to, we all know how much you want to see them, and you will.

Don't get me wrong Khelvan, I am very pleased and grateful with the weekly updates that you make in your spare time.
They are very good, because of that allot of people are anxious to see the updates.
What I tried to say to is that if you don't have time because of whatever reason to make a preview I perfectly understand that.
What I tried to tell you is that If you only placed a new sticky in the forums that you don't have time then it is clear for most EB fans like me.
Except maybe for Jebus but you can ignore him :-)

Please guys dont push them so hard. Keep it in mind. EB is a mod. And EB is not for them whole of their daily rutin.

    cold turky...

But hey Khelvan, you've done a terriffic job since the first EB news thread. And we really appreciate your and all members of the EB team's work. But hey take a look to all these screenshots and stuff would you be able to wait without pulling your hair out?
well most of us can't. But we can't blame you, well we could only blame you guys for making such a great mod.
    Thx.

For all the people who are "unhappy" about not getting their fix : the closed beta is in the works. So, if they keep working on it, the sooner they can go to open beta.

I'm pretty sure most of you are just aching to play it, so give the team some slack. :)

The only suggestion i have is that next time you know you wont get a preview out in time just post a thread saying so. That way you wont have people spending hours on their computer refreshing the page every 5 seconds. Which i wouldnt be surprised if people did.

I've now apointed myself the person who the complainers come to when they are missing their EB fix. I will distribute flowers, hugs, and Grateful Dead teddy bears to make the withdrawls easier, as well as telling bed time stories about the battles I have fought in the latest version of EB.

Any and all people who continue to bother Khelvan will be trampled by a horse.

i can wait since i have finals coming up hehe, don't worry, all of us fans should know that you are under no obligation to do your update, I actually rather have you work on EB instead of giving us eyecandy, maybe just update the progress instead of eyecandy, I was never into screenshots, I like reading about how the mod is going ands tuff, meh thats jsut me, keep up the good work, imo you don't have to update at all, as long as the mod is going well, I'll wait.

Didn't mean to stack up pressure on ya'. I know you especially will be happy when we can fully reveal it to everyone though, right? So I wasn't actually wrong there.

Do well on your exams and hopefully we will have it all fully implemented a day or two after your exams are over.
