Well, if the game got leaked, then perhaps one positive thing to come out of that is that the d/l version will be out around the same time that the store version will be on the shelfs.

My ATI card has no problems, aside from an occasional 1 second freeze during extremely closed quarters combat, and even at that, it only happens about once per 6 or 7 battles.

My brand new HD 4870 gets a whole bunch of red textures in the game.

    One whole day. :sobs:

Red textures? On weapons or what? I remember that bug in the last version where the wooden textures for Direct X7 looked shiny and blue, it it anything like that?

Looks like a mod gone wrong
Maybe if too many people report bugs like that, we will see a 1.5 down the road in a not too distant future.

I think the download from TaleWorlds is delayed a couple days after the store/Gamer's Gate release.

I'm waiting with bated breath, .96 game on hold permanently it seems, in anticipation of 1.0. It was a good get-ready exercise. Now I know how I'll approach my first 1.0 game strategically. The anticipation is agonizing. This game has come a long, long way since its $12 days.

I think I came on board just as they added the other factions. I miss the terrifying Dark Knights and their cool armor.

I can wait for a few days. I paid for my copy years ago, and see no reason to pay twice.

This isn't right you know.......and the devs of M&B are the last people I would have expected to see doing such a thing.......why delaying the game for the very people who've supported them and stayed with them for so much time!!! They shouldn't have kept this difference in release date.

    Quoted for emphasis.

Also: Are you people really that tired of .960 that you aren't willing to wait a few more days? Some of us has waited years for this release, I think we can wait just a little longer.

They're giving us even more--a lesson in the virtues of patience . It will be all the more satisfying when we finally do get our anxious lil hands on it.

From what I've read, aside from a whole lot of polish, 1.0 isn't that much different from .960.

    We'll soon see.

Has anyone heard when Taleworlds actually will release 1.0? Any indications?

It was released for retail sale yesterday (9/16). The download version for us pre-paid folks is supposed to become available "a short time" after this official release date, but no specific date was given.

I've read that you can download it now from GamersGate if you're willing to pay for it again ($30 iirc).

I've been hanging out simultaneously at the TaleWorlds forum and will post a heads-up here as soon as I see the download for 1.0 is available there.

I've heard US retail release may be the 23; that could be the date.

Official US retail release was yesterday, the 16th, but apparently no one has seen it on store shelves yet. It's also available on Amazon, but not until the official Euro release of the 19th. It is already available for digital download from a couple of locations, including Gamersgate, but that's no good for the people who've already bought their serial keys from Taleworlds. The most frustrating thing about it isn't that the digital Taleworlds release is delayed. It's that there is still no official word on when it will be--just the vague 'soon after.'

I just read at TaleWorlds that the boxed versions should hit the stores in the US on the 23rd. According to the poster, "popular forum speculation" is that the digital download for us old-timers will be available on the 23rd also. That's just consensus speculation, however.
