I seem to be having trouble registering on the taleworlds forums , I have tried time and again, but I never receive the activation e-mail.

Anyhow, I've been playing the BoWX modpack for sometime (thanks Pevergreen), and I wanted to know did having a large party size affect the chances of getting a unique weapon? Does anyone here know?

Oh, special weapons with higher than normal stats. Like there's a two handed blade named 'Durndel' and then there's a kind of uber warbow named 'Silverwood Bow'...........

Meanwhile, I have one more query, is it possible to heal lame horses in BoWX? How?

Sometimes taking the high ground in battle with your cavalry is not suggested.

supposedly letting it sit for a few hours (real time) makes it go from lame to normal

One thing that really ticks me off is that they only hint about what's in the new version instead of giving us a full and complete version history BEFORE we download. Model upgrade? Pfft. Not worth the time to start all over again from level 1.

    There were some skill changes:

Trade - reduces your trade penalty by 5% (was 10%)
Leadership - increases maximum number of troops you can command by 5 (was 3)
Wound Treatment - Party healing speed is increased by 20% (was 30%)
Pathfinding - Party map speed is increased by 2% (was 3%)
Power Throw - increases throwing damage by 10% (was 7%)
Power Strike - Each point to this skill increases melee damage by 8% (was 6%)
Pathfinding really didn't need a nerf, imo.

    Here's a topic listing changes:
    http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.p...c,37103.0.html

Right now, given some are experiencing crashing issues and the benefits are dubious, I think I'll hold off on downloading.

I'm just playing mods for older versions now. Each time I create a good charecter, they release a new version and I'm almost compelled to download it........will just play mods until the relase the final one now on.

Nerfs are not worth upgrading for and screwing up my old save games.

There seems to be a super dammage glitch or maybe its just me. But when i hit some one with sword of war from hte back of a charger it does 1000% speed bonus and 999 damage. not that im complaining but still makes the game a little to easy. I've now become the super warrior who raids lord war parties solo and still i win. I dont even have to be moving.

I once got +8300% speed bonus (553 damage) when attacking from horseback with a lance using a normal attack, not a couched attack.

That's a glitch? I've found it a few times with the two handed blade, I thought it was a bonus becaue of attacking on his undefended backside.

Took me a while to finally do this... but before you upgrade, from within the game, go to your character page, click 'Statistics', then 'Export character'. Then quit and patch up. When you start up again, create a new character (not sure if it has to be the same name). Do the same, but click 'Import character'. You lose all your kit, reputation and stuff, but your skills and stats remain.

Quite amusing, beasting small parties of looters with your uber-character...

Ugh, I found something that really ticks me off. The bonus for personally having Party skills has been slashed in half. 9 Surgery now only gives a +3 bonus.

thats a good thing. Having immortal armies takes away from the overall fun of the game.

Yeah but it means you'll get "wuh?bluha!"ed all the time by khergits, starting out in the Steppes with your lvl 1 is not a nice place, RUN! YOU CAN'T WIN!

Best places for early characters, in order

Vaegir (Very weak deserters, forest/mountain bandits are fairly good challenge)
Rhodok (Veteren Spearmen... but other wise fine)
Swadians (OK, occansionly huge mountain bandits and some men-at-arms deserters but meh)
Nords (VERY Powerful sea raiders will mean its impossible to win without a large force or a strong one)
Khergit (Only way to win is not to be here, the Steppe bandits will butcher your early game character and you can't escape)
    Now with transparent layers!

The only way to face a Khergit party is to ride a spirited courser if you prefer melee, or a heavily armoured horse if you're a good archer. I go for melee becaue they have too many archers. Either I run out of their range and then suddenly turn on them as they follow me, or I simply run alongside them and slash them with my two hander.

Me personally I like to go with Iberia since they have alot of good skimisher cavalry, and good heavy cavalry units

Carthage is good for its all around utility. Good pikes, good cavalry, elephants

The Successor states are good for their variety of pikes, and good cavalry.

Of course i'll often go with Sarmatia if I want to go heavy on horses

How could you not even mention Rome!

Personally I prefer the Greeks due to their hoplites, that don't fight in phalanx.

Do you control an army, or are each of those individual characters controlled by different players?

This reminds me of this game. -> http://www.shoonline.net/

It's not an online game, all the soldiers are AI controlled except your own character.
They said they will perhaps consider an online mode for M&B2 but definitely not for the current game.

Btw- I don't know how I made a grammatical mistake like I did in my original post. I seem to be losing it.
