Default New start looking for a faction

I am going to finnish my game tommorow.I am playing Julii and need just three provinces to finnish.

Before i start new game I would like to do next:

I am from Croatia but since I really suck at history in general I need your hlep. I would like to find out what faction (If any) the Croatia would belong in this game.Tryed to figure it out myself but since I have no idea what some of those factions (Pontus,Parthia,Dacia.....) are (partly coz of the english language) I got stuck at the begining.

    So does any one know.....

Nearest faction to Croatia is Dacia. Gaul also has a privince near there but Gallic tribes were mainly in (modern day) France.

Dacia is a real challenge though, maybe not one for a second time play. It depends how good/ambitious you are.

if you want a less challenging game try macedon
then take the two rebel provinces to the west/northwest
now be stupid and gift all your provinces to greek cities
now you have just modern day croatia area and you have some very weak provinces but a dense army
i assume you take all your units from your old provinces

Hm...that's a bit of a challenging decision, because of the fact you're ancestors where naughty rebels back then.

Not necessarily your ancestors though. Your ancestors could have been Roman soldiers, Phoenecian merchants, or perhaps Dorians.

Probably all of them, as well as some others. But actually I thought the Croatians were one of of the South-Slav tribes, moving in to the area long after the RTW period... They should have come from what is now Russia, most likely what is the Pripet-region in RTW...
