Missing sounds?

I have been going through all the sound files in the \Total War\Sounds\Battle\Troops dir. I've noticed that some of these sounds, that happen to be the coolest, I never hear in the game. The most noticable are the musket impacts sounds. Listen to these and they sound so cool, all the bullets hitting the armor and stuff. But no matter how many musketeers I have firing, or am fired at, I never hear this sound. Am I just deaf or are these not enabled?

Many of the sounds for the game were left out of the released version. I'm no expert on this though, so more information would be nice.

I've never noticed the musket impacts myself, but i've not looked for them either.

Go into the \sounds\battle\table.cfg file.

Open it using notepad or wordpad. Read through the list of events that trigger the sounds. If musket impacts are in there then go to the end of the line that they are on and edit the volume. I think the default for all sounds is .75 , try increasing it and then saving the edited .cfg file. This should help.

If there is no trigger event for this then they were left out of the final version and you're out of luck.

Yup apparently they were left out Too bad because if you listen to the musket impacts they sound so cool. I think they are the coolest sounds in the game.
