At one point, almost half of the population were slaves. Assuming my luck didn't hold & I fell in with that lot, I'm guessing whatever I was told to or take a good whipping.

Use my knowledge of chemistry and physics to astound the plebs, become a revered person, et cetera, get money from it, a villa, slaves, kill the Imperator and take his job... The usual...

Yes, I would change history and impart all modern day knowledge to the Romans.

Then I would go down in history as the cleverest man ever...

Well I will anyway, but back then it would be whole lot less effort.

Hmmm, 6 people have voted that they would join the army, yet only 2 have specified that they would kill. Those that voted "army" but not "kill", what do you plan to do in the army if not kill people?

I would run off to greece, and teach them how to build guns and cannons. Then I would come to rome and conquer it. Then crown myself the second great to come from greece.

I voted for "loot". I figure that the only way I'd be in Rome (the ancient kind, anyway) would be if I was looting it.

I'm with Dessa here. A nice orgy every day would be heavenly, even better then the Christian heaven IMO. What would be even better is to also kill the undesirables for fun. That's the life.

kill the undesirables..., oh i don't wanna kill them, i wanna kill the desirables.
    especially those horrible democratic tribunes.
i think orgies would get very boring soon, but drinking and eating never gets boring oh and masses of opiates and drugs availiable life would be sweet.

Dessa orgies are not just sex. Heavy drinking and drug use in mass is also an orgy. So an orgy of each for each day. I think that covers what want.

Oh and sex orgies don't get boring to me.

I think this is a pretty good poll. I think it's quite interesting how people would join the army over anything else.
