Yesterday I was playing custom. Me as Greek cities and the AI as Julii,Brutii, and Scipii w/ 400 Glads and 80 archers each. When the loading screen brought me to the battle formation I put 1 spart Hop on each of my three streets w/ 2 armored hops as backup and 1 unit of archers behing them. At first I thought it would be easy but later on I found out that the scipii Glads broke through my Def. Then they headed towards and my force that was smashing through the Brutii Glads. So I rushed with my other 2 armored Hops and my general from the side where the Julii where attacking and tried to make a Defensive wall but then got smashed by the Scipii. As for my last unit of Spart Hops, they manage to wipe out the Julii Glads but they too got smashed by the scipii. By the way I was playing at Lodonalium.

Is it me or does everybody else agree w/ me that the scipii have far superior Glads then its allied factions.

yes they do, they have the highest tech glads.

followed by the Julii , the Brutii have the lowest tech gladiators, however they are all more ore less the same I figure.
I think the only differences ( slight differences ) are in stats and in bonuses.

yup true, they also get them at the colloseum, the latest version. but julii glads have more attack, and brutii are the weakest.
