    Question Functional Admirals anyone?

Anybody got any good ideas for making admirals behave more like generals?

I'll explain what I mean: What I'd like is admirals to gain command stars in combat like the generals do. I'm aware that occasionally your admiral bump into a retinue, granting him e.g. an impressing set of 2 -two- command stars and, even more seldom, another set, boosting your admiral to a 4 star one (my oh my!).

Is there any way of making ones admirals gain stars in a manner (and pace)similar to their land-based colleagues? I suspect this of being hard coded, but I'd really like to cruise the mediterranean with a 10 star admiral one day..

For the admiral to gain star is pretty easy for me in the origional 1.1 I think, cause that what I have. Anyway if you don't put any mod or try to mod your unit for example. I went into my export_descr_unit and did some change like the build time shorten for every units in there and make them recruitable with early stuff like place them in the palace or governor house. Ever since I did that my admiral hardly gain any command star; however, it use to collect a lot of them even though they just sit at the port and do nothing,

Hi Vale, I've got the 1.1 but no mods installed. Could you be more specific on what you did to accomplish what you mentioned? An example perhaps? (I'm delightfully newb you see )

For my first time playing it I get them really fast, and once I got a 10 starts admiral floating around. But I know it really easy to get them, btw I got bored by what I have accomplish so I restart them and change a lot of thing in it. I am sorry I got no support like a picture for what you asking. But maybe I will show you one by tomorrow :)
