    I think this is still a bit ambigous, I think you should get more people depending on loyalty. Maybe 1 units of peasants for every 20% of loyalty above 120. In addition to this, you should get Tower bonuses for every 30% of loyalty above 100%.

    It would be nice but only if the town really is loyal. OTOH, if it's a recently conquered city and the populace is still in unrest then they should instead turn against you and try to open the gates to the enemy. Especially if the invaders are of the same faction that used to hold the city before you.

    RTW, 167 BC: Rome expels Greek philosophers after the Lex Fannia law is passed. This bans the effete and nasty Greek practice of 'philosophy' in favour of more manly, properly Roman pursuits that don't involve quite so much thinking.

    While the concept of peasants and militia coming to my aid appeals to me, I am having a hard time losing my cities to the enemy as it is.

    Yes, i was thinking that but i forgot to include it in my original post....it would probably be complicated to implement.

    I know this can be done, but I am not good with scripting either. We need Epistolary Richard here to talk about this. He is an expert on the scripting stuff, and I think he can do it. Because the client kingdom he did a good job with it, by using the show me how script to trigger the unit for hire when the population is happy under your rule
