    Default Mods to Archery?

I've noticed several posts complaining that archers in RTW are overpowered. Has anyone modifed their archer stats as a result? I'd thought of leaving the basic slingers untouched and reducing all other units' attacks by 3 (with a maximum charge bonus of 3), but I'm not sure if this is the way to go. I'm much more at home with swords and spears!

The archers are not overpowered...I think they are underpowered... Neither MTW or RTW could illustrate the power of archers, especially the elite archers(Cretan Archers for example)....
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

You may have a point there. Now that I think about it, my elite unit of Balearic slingers in my last campaign (with 3 gold chevrons plus gold weapons) typically racked up around 240 kills per battle. That's a good dozen bullets expended for each kill, mostly against lightly armoured rebels, and basic units wouldn't do nearly as well.
Oh well, back to the drawing board...
