Having decided to “beef up” the non-Roman factions a bit, I tried modding their starting treasuries and populations. Everything seemed OK until I tried to start an Imperial Campaign. When I did, I was immediately booted back to the Main Menu.I'd been careful not to take any single population up to the next settlement level, so I can’t see where I went wrong. Is there a hard-coded limit to starting treasuries and/or populations?

Cool modders make their mods with the

) Making ANY other changes in descr_strat locked me out of the Imperial Campaign. Lowering the Egyptian population, giving the Germans farms, making the Carthaginian faction leader and his heir 10 years younger - same result every time. Still, the increased treasuries should make a difference to the more vulnerable factions.
